Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the American Nurses Association has extended National Nurses Week to Nurses Appreciation Month. This is an opportunity for people across the country to show gratitude for the incredible nurses and healthcare workers who have taken the lead in fighting for people’s lives every day. In light of the pandemic, appreciation for nurses has taken on new meaning. Nurses have been working tirelessly for months, committed to making a lifesaving impact.

During the past week, we at VOIP Networks have been honored to support our local hospitals, including Holy Name Hospital, Jefferson Hospital of Cherry Hill, and The Philadelphia VA Medical Center, by purchasing hundreds of meals for their staff. In a letter of appreciation, Holy Name Hospital President Michael Maron wrote:

“Thank you for supporting the Holy Name Medical Center Foundation with your gift towards our COVID-19 fund. GIfts such as your help Holy Name Medical Center to continue to provide our extraordinary care during this unprecedented time by providing our clinical staff with the medical supplies needed to care for the patients we serve. On behalf of all the staff of Holy Name, we thank you for your generosity.”

Working together, Holy Name Hospital purchased $1,000 worth of lunches and dinners for their team, Jefferson Hospital of Cherry Hill purchased 200 salads for their frontline shift workers, and The Philadelphia VA Medical Center purchased $1,000 in hoagie trays for their staff from Primo’s Hoagies.

To the nurses and healthcare workers behind the scenes and on the front lines: We at VOIP Networks thank you! Now more than ever, we admire and appreciate the unwavering dedication you’ve shown in all that you do for your team, patients, and our community.
